Venice Food Tour

EXPLORE THE FOODIE SCENE OF VENICE

Venice is a town of surprises. Around every corner of this city of bridges, you can find a treasure trove of gourmet goodies and amazing markets and artisanal shops. Join us on a Venice food tour sure to please anyone’s palate!

One of the oldest, smallest and most vibrant neighborhoods of Venice is San Polo. Venice’s central market was established in 1097 in the area and still exists to this day. San Polo is currently one of the liveliest areas in Venice, packed with stores, markets and top attractions. San Paolo is known for its small traditional bars, called Bacari. These are not your typical bars, but ones that focus on Venice’s culinary traditions.

Take your taste buds on an adventure, wander the narrow streets and navigate over the canals on a foodie tour you will never forget!

Discover Venice's Food Secrets

During your Venice foodie tour, your local expert tour guide will take you into some of the small, quaint streets of Venice, away from the crowds of St. Mark’s Square. You’ll enjoy visiting markets, shops and meeting the artisans whose crafts are enjoyed by locals. When you explore Venice on foot with a local guide, you will experience culture and local foods and discover the culinary secrets that are waiting around every corner. You may even find your new favorite gelato flavor!

Sample Some Cicchetti

On your tour, you will visit three local spots and enjoy local small treats called Cicchetti, which are like tapas, or small plates. Some Cicchetti will be fried, some served on grilled bread with polenta, some with seafood and some with meats, and all will be amazing. This tour will be a wonderful exploration for your taste buds, while introducing you to the regional flavors of Venice.

Sample the Local Drinks

Between strolling the open air markets and shops and sampling Cicchetti, you’ll have the chance to enjoy local wines, a glass of Prosecco, or try an aperitif such as the local favorite – the Spritz, which is said to have been invented in Venice! Whichever you choose, raise your glass with a hearty “Salute!” to your Venetian foodie experience.

WHY SHOULD I GO ON THIS TOUR?

This is a relaxing and easy-going way to enjoy some of the lesser-known areas of Venice while tasting your way across the city.
