Full Day Guided Tour of Turin

Alright, get ready for Day 2 because we’re hitting Turin, and it’s going to be amazing. Imagine kicking back in the hills of Piedmont, surrounded by epic history and a food scene that’ll make your taste buds dance. Turin’s got the goods – from the iconic Mole Antonelliana that towers over the city, to the Royal Palace where history feels alive and kicking.

Next stop? The Egyptian Museum. It’s like hopping on a plane to Cairo, but no passport needed. This place is stuffed with ancient treasures that are seriously cool. And don’t even get me started on Palazzo Madama – it’s a trip through time, from the Renaissance to right now, all wrapped up in art and history.

But the real star of the show? The food. We’re talking about diving into the local coffee scene, indulging in the creamiest chocolate, and sipping on vermouth that’s just too good. It’s all about those Piedmontese flavors that you won’t find anywhere else.

So, lace up your walking shoes and get ready to explore, taste, and fall head over heels with everything Turin throws at us. It’s not just another day; it’s a chance to make some unforgettable memories in one of Italy’s coolest cities. Let’s do this!

Day 3: 18- Holes at Royal Park

Day 3’s all set for some fun in the sun with an 18-hole round at the Royal Park “I Roveri.” Get ready to tee off in style!

About The Royal Park Course

Back in 1971, the Agnelli family kicked things off with the Royal Park “I Roveri,” featuring an 18-hole masterpiece courtesy of the legendary Robert Trent Jones Senior. Right from the get-go, this place was a hit, hosting big-time tournaments like the Italian Open four times and the European Amateur Team Championships twice. Fast forward to 2006, and they added another course to the mix, the Allianz Bank Course, designed by the dynamic duo Micheal Hurdzan and Dana Fry, bumping it up to a swanky 36-hole golf haven.

What really sets Royal Park I Roveri apart is its jaw-dropping setting. Picture this: you’re teeing off with the Olympic Alps in the backdrop, nestled in the La Mandria Natural Park, and just a stone’s throw from the Reggia di Venaria Reale. This place isn’t just any old royal residence; it’s the biggest of the Savoy digs, built in 1651 for Duke Charles Emmanuel II’s hunting shindigs. Plus, being on the edge of Turin, Italy’s original capital, means you’re never too far from the airport, blending the best of nature and convenience.

The spot’s climate is pretty much a golfer’s dream, thanks to its sweet spot of latitude and altitude, not to mention being cozied up next to the mountains. This means you’re in for mild, breezy-less weather from April to October, making for some prime golfing conditions. And let’s not forget the views – they’re the kind that’ll make you want to play all day.

Day 4: Full day guided tour to the Langhe area with winery visits and tastings of Barolo and Barbaresco wines

So, imagine spending a day out in the Langhe region, and it’s pretty much the best day ever. You start off with the sun just beginning to light everything up, and you’re there in this vineyard that’s so cool, it’s even got UNESCO giving it the thumbs up. You’re there sipping on some incredible wines, like Nebbiolo and Barbera, which are just mind-blowing.

Then, for lunch, you find yourself at this hillside spot where they’re serving up local dishes that are totally taken to the next level with white truffles. It’s like, seriously good eating.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. In the afternoon, you’re off to another vineyard getting the lowdown on Barolo and Barbaresco wines, which are basically the legends around here. And just as the day’s winding down, you’re chilling with a glass of wine, watching the sunset over the vineyards. It’s just perfect.

This whole day trip to Langhe, with its chill vineyard tours, amazing wine tastings, and the magic of truffles in your food, is going to be one of those days you’ll never forget. It’s all about kicking back, enjoying some fantastic flavors, and just soaking in the good vibes.

Day 5: 2nd day of 18 holes at Royal Park

Prepare yourself for a captivating 2nd day of 18 holes at the Royal Park.  Experience the course designed by Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry.

Crafted in 2006, the second course comes from the creative mind of Michael Hurdzan, a legend known for designing some of North America’s top golf courses and a renowned voice on golf’s environmental impact. He teamed up with Dana Fry for this project. Marking his first foray into Europe, Hurdzan applied his signature approach of blending the course seamlessly with the untouched natural surroundings.

Day 6: Full Day Journey to Skyway Monte Bianco and Aosta

Start your day with a bang by hopping on the Skyway Monte Bianco. Trust me, the ride up gives you these insane views of the Alps that’ll have you glued to the window.

Next up, we’re hitting Aosta, and this place is like stepping into a history book, but way cooler. The old medieval streets and ancient Roman bits and pieces are everywhere, making you feel like you’ve time-traveled. Just wandering around lets you soak up that unique Alpine vibe.

But the best part? Lunchtime. We’re talking about sitting down in this super cozy restaurant and getting a taste of the real Val d’Aosta. Imagine tucking into local cheeses that melt in your mouth, incredible cold cuts, polenta that’s just the right kind of creamy, and fondue that’s to die for. It’s like a mini adventure for your taste buds.

This day is going to be epic, mixing jaw-dropping sights, a dash of history, and food that’ll have you dreaming about it for days. Definitely a day in the Alps you won’t forget anytime soon.

Day 7: 18 holes at Golf Club Torino “La Mandria”

About the Golf Club Torino

Back in 1920, right after the First World War, 11 folks with a crazy amount of passion and determination decided to start the Torino Golf Club. It took them until 1956 to finally settle on the perfect spot in La Mandria, which is this stunning regional park in the Po river plain. This place used to be a hunting ground for the Royal House of Savoy and is super close to the gorgeous Baroque palace, Reggia di Venaria Reale.

Over the years, this club has seen some pretty cool moments, like hosting the Italian Open in 1999 under the leadership of Sergio Pininfarina, and then again in 2013 with Lorenzo Silva at the helm.

But here’s the kicker: it’s the home turf of Edoardo and Francesco Molinari, two brothers who’ve taken the golf world by storm. They grew up playing on this very course and have brought home some major wins, like the 2009 World Cup and the Ryder Cup in 2010 and 2012, making the club super proud. Not many places can boast having such legends in their history, let alone having their trophies in the clubhouse.

Back in 1956, the Torino Golf Club really started to shape up when they brought in John Morrison, a British architect, to design the first 18 holes. This move was a game-changer for the club, giving it a unique British vibe that you can still feel there today. What’s cool about this place is how it’s all about golf, through and through. No roads, buildings, or anything else to get in the way of the game—just you and the untouched nature around you.

As time went on, the club got even better. Thanks to some smart designs by Studio Harris and architects Marco Croze and Graham Cooke, they expanded the course from 27 holes to what it is now: a full 36 holes split into two courses, the Blue and the Yellow. It’s been quite the journey, turning Torino Golf Club into the standout spot it is today.

Day 8: 2nd Day at Golf Club Torino 18 holes

In the past two decades, the club has really upped its game, churning out champions left, right, and center. A big part of this success comes from how much they focus on nurturing young talent through their Youth Club. The Torino La Mandria Golf Club has racked up an impressive list of wins, making it one of the most decorated clubs in Italy. Their trophy case is overflowing with international and national awards, showcasing their dominance on the golf scene.

The club is also home to Edoardo and Francesco Molinari, two brothers who’ve made big waves on the international golf circuit. These guys are like local heroes, having grown up playing on these very greens before going on to win big titles like the 2009 World Cup and the Ryder Cups in 2010 and 2012. It’s a pretty big deal to have such stars come from your club, and their victories are a source of pride, with the trophies taking pride of place in the club’s trophy case.
