Feel the wind in your face and feel the sweet Italian air as you travel by your own power through some of the most rich and inviting parts of Italy on and electric or manual bike.

You will savor the sight, sounds and tastes of this tour which puts you in a position to see some of the most remarkable towns in the Puglia region of Italy.

DAY 1 - Arrival to Alberobello

You will work with your travel expert to find the best way to arrive to Italy and get to the starting point of the tour which in Alberobello and also the location of your hotel accommodation. You will check into your lovely accommodations, relax and later you will meet with the local tourist guide at the hotel during a small reception and they will give you a introduction of the holiday ahead. After in the evening you will take a lovely walk called “Trulli in the moonlight”, a suggestive walk along the old village, UNESCO World Heritage site, with its almost 1500 trulli houses located in Rioni Monti and Aia Piccola. Welcome to Italy!

DAY 2 - Guided E-Bike Cycle Tour

From ALBEROBELLO to MARTINA FRANCA.

The Itria Valley is one of the most amazing and breathtaking places in Puglia, rich with history and traditions of the local people who call it home. The natural, architectural and landscape details jump out at you with every turn of your bike wheel, the wine and food traditions of this part of Murgia of Trulli make it one of the most popular destinations for those seeing to see the “Real Italy”

Thanks to the e-bike we’ll ride without much effort and travel along an extraordinary path in the Valley lined with dry stone walls and centuries-old oaks, among breath-taking panoramic landscapes until we reach Martina Franca; a meeting point where the Angevin medieval architecture and the magnificence of Baroque come together. Amazing and stately palaces, churches and squares are the monuments that make this city a real capital of the Apulian land. We’ll visit the Cathedral of Saint Martin, the Ducale Palace and the monuments of the old village and after the visit, we’ll continue on our e-bike tour to reach an historic manor farm situated in the Apulian countryside where we’ll have a little snack and deserved rest. Light lunch with typical “0 km” products of the local farms in the area. We’ll taste mozzarella and cheeses, the famous Capocollo of Martina Franca, a unique product of the Itria Valley, taralli and friselle, served with Primitivo di Manduria wine.

The tour restarts towards Locorotondo, famous for being one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It is also one of the most important tourist centers of trulli because of the sea and caves district.

We’ll admire the typical “cummerse”, houses with sloping roofs built with the local stone.

Before returning to Alberobello, we will have a break to visit a winery and its vineyard, and to taste local red and white wines. Your late afternoon and evening are free.

Day 3 - Free Day

Today you are free to do as you like. If you want to go to the sea, we can suggest you the visit of Polignano a Mare; the enchanting seaside resort situated on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea. We can also suggest a visit to the hinterland and, in particular, to the well-known Castellana Caves, one of the most interesting and important speleological complexes in Italy and Europe. You must also take a trip and visit the Matera, known as “Città dei Sassi” (City of stones) or “Underground City”. The city is famous for its historic “Sassi” district, that constitutes one of the oldest clusters of houses in the world. The Sassi has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. Matera has also been awarded the title of European Capital of Culture 2019, first city of southern Italy that obtains this title. We can arrange any number of optional excursions or you can just sleep in.

DAY 4 - Guided e-bike cycle tour along the Adriatic Coast, afternoon at seaside town.

From the whitewash of the trulli, today the landscape turns blue as you continue your ride along the Mediterranean.

After breakfast, we start the tour to reach the Adriatic coast for a short tour of few hours. First stop, we’ll visit the authentic and fascinating Monopoli, once it was the most important maritime city in Puglia where you will visit the Cathedral dedicated to the Madonna della Madia, the Santa Maria Amalfitana Crypt and the Castle Charles V. Continue riding along the coast and leaving behind the Saint Stephen Abbey, we’ll shortly return to the inland to discover the thousand-year old cave church of Saint Andrew and Procopio, that is part of the old hypogeum settlement inhabited since ancient times.

Later, enjoy a short visit to the Egnatia Archaelogical site, ancient Messapian settlement that grew in importance under the Roman rule. The final stop of the e-bike tour will be the small fishing port in Savelletri where we‘ll have a rest and a light lunch with seafood specialties of the area. Now you get to get off our e-bikes and enjoy a pleasant afternoon at seaside. In the late afternoon return to the hotel.

DAY 5 - End of the Holiday or add more days.

The tour can end today or we can arrange for you to continue your tour in this region or continue to other areas of Italy for a longer trip.
