Overview
Private Venice Walking Tour. Venice is a never ending maze and the majority of tourists who visit the city just spend their time wandering the winding alleyways around Saint Mark’s square, and rarely get beyond that. This is a vast city of colors, interesting neighborhoods, fantastic restaurants, amazing architecture and the majority of all of it is not around St. Marks.
Your private guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on an adventure through the city of bridges to many of the most interesting locations the city has to offer. Your guide is a local, so they know how to avoid the large crowds and show you the Venice that only the locals know.
Please note this tour can only be booked as part of one of our packages and is not available on a a-la-carte basis.
To visit Venice with just a guidebook in your hand would be doing yourself and the city a great injustice. The only way to understand the immense history, culture and amazing secrets and city has to offer is wandering its streets with a local. We have on staff our own local Venetians who will show you their Venice, the Venice that they love and grew up loving as a child. Now they’re working in the city showing people like you what the city has to offer.
Many of our most popular Italy travel packages feature Venice

WALK THROUGH VENICE
This experience can be done privately or with a group. We have always recommended private experiences as those are one-on-one with a local showing you around their city. There is no more unique and memorable experience than in spending the day wandering the streets as if you live there and learning the history and culture from a local’s perspective.

Privately, you will travel at your own pace stopping along the way for coffee. You’ll travel around the tourist crowds and go through the small alleyways that shortcut through the city that only the locals know. At the end, your local can help you with what to do with free time such is the tourist restaurants to avoid or where to get the best deal on that souvenir you’ve got to bring back for family and friends.
Ask your Travel Expert about enjoying Venice with a local. After Venice, we recommend exploring Tuscany or the Amalfi Coast. The Venice Marco Polo Airport is a very nice airport which can allow you to fly directly to Venice to begin your holiday.
