This Tour hits the ” two of the Big 3″ Rome and Florence but also visits Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast The group starts in the The Amalfi Coast a stretch of coastline along the southern edge of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, in the Campania region then goes to Rome, Tuscany and Florence.
You will start your journey in Sorrento. You will make your own way to the Sorrento hotel. In the late afternoon you will meet your tour leader and meet your fellow travelers. Ask questions, learn about your trip and then off to a local restaurant for a lovely local dinner.

Enjoy your lovely breakfast at the hotel and then you will go on a lovely walking tour of Sorrento with our local guide. Visit the cities sites such as Piazza Tasso and Sedi Dominova. You will walk along the historic street of Via San Cesareo. Visit the cloister dating back to 1300 and enjoy the panoramic view from Piazza della Vittoria.
You will have a lovely visit to a limoncello factory for a taste of Sorrento’s most famous drink. Then in the late afternoon your guide will take you out to the Sorrento countryside. You will visit a working farm to see how agriculture works in the South of Italy. You will visit the citrus groves, wine cellar where you will learn how they process the local wine; then you will have a lovely tasting menu of the typical foods of Sorrento along with a great glass of wine. Back to your hotel in Sorrento for overnight.
Full day tour of Amalfi & Ravello with Lemon tour on the cliffs of Amalfi.
This excursion combines the fantastic landscapes of Ravello and Amalfi with the local culture of food and wines. In Amalfi, learn about the history of the city and the ancient Maritime Republics, then visit an incredible “limoneto”, a cliff where lemon trees are cultivated. Pick up your lemons and prepare a fresh squeezed lemonade “Amalfi style”. Later, continue to Ravello, a destination for artists, musicians, and writers, including Richard Wagner who composed here some operas. Ravello is also famous for its villas, such as Villa Cimbrone, dating from at least the 11th century AD and Villa Rufolo. Overnight in Sorrento
Today is a free day to explore Sorrento or take our optional tour to the island of Capri, a trip to Paestum to see the Greet Temples or take a boat trip along the Amalfi Coast.. your agent can inform you of all the options

En route stop and a visit to Pompei. Due to its healthy climate and pleasant scenery, Pompeii was a holiday resort for rich Romans. It is now famous for its civic buildings lining the streets that are still intact today. Some of these include the Surgeon’s House, as well as those of the Faun and the Chaste Lovers, which are exceptional examples of the epoch’s architecture. Afterward we will travel to Naples where you will have free time for lunch on your own and after we will start the tour of the San Gennaro Museum and a walk through the heart of the city. Your tour guide will then take you to the Naples station and get you on a high speed train to Rome. Once in Rome you will be met by a driver and taken to your hotel in the city center and later tonight a lovely dinner out.
After breakfast you will go on a lovey tour to the Vatican for a visit to the museums, St. Peters and Sistine Chapel. Once the tour is over you will return to your hotel where you can relax for a bit and in the late afternoon your guide will take you on a walking tour of historic Rome and Piazza di Spagna for the Spanish Steps. You can return to the hotel or stay out the choice is yours. You are free for dinner on your own.

Today after a lovely breakfast in Rome we will depart north toward Tuscany. You will travel to Florence with a stop in Siena along the way. The ride is quite nice showing off the lovely Italian countryside. When you arrive to Siena; you will enjoy a lovely food and wine lunch in the historic center of town. After lunch you will go on a walking tour of Siena where you will learn its rich history and visit the Piazza del Campo where the famous Palio horse race is held twice a year. After our Siena visit we will continue on to Florence for check in during the late afternoon. Dinner on your own in Florence.
In the morning after you have enjoyed your breakfast you will be taken by your guide for a lovely walking tour of Florence. You will visit the famous market of San Lorenzo to see the fresh foods arriving daily from Tuscany. You will have the chance to taste a few local cheeses and meats while at the market. Then there is some free time if you are still hungry to get lunch on your own. The mid-day is free for you to explore until the afternoon when you will meet your guide for a walk through the city to visit the Duomo, Giotto’s bell tower from the outside and then you will be taken inside the Accademia Museum to see the amazing David statue by Michelangelo. The rest of the day and evening is yours.
Today is a free day to explore Florence on your own or a chance to take the optional trip to the fishing villages of the Cinque Terre. You will travel to the quaint towns long the sea far from the busy streets of Florence where you can explore the coast and the towns. You will have plenty of free time to explore the Cinque Terre before returning to Florence in the late afternoon.
Note: This tour departs from Sorrento on Friday’s and ends in Florence.
